Zombie Fest 2010:
The Pittsburgh Zombie Fest will be held this Saturday, October 8th at noon in Market Square in Pittsburgh. This event used to be held at Monroville Mall where one of the George Romano Zombie movies was filmed. Because of the large number of people attending it was moved last year to Market Square and expanded from a Zombie Walk to a major event with all sorts of activities. This is part of the world wide "Zombie Walk & Crawl". You can dress up like a Zombie and participate in the Zombie Walk. There are also a large number of vendors selling everything from food to arts and crafts plus fun events like a brain eating contest, yum! The event is free but they do ask for donations of non perishable food items for the Greater Pittsburgh Food Bank. The event is held rain or shine.
Here is the 2011 Schedule of events.
